MARKET REPORT. FARMERS’ CO-OP. SOCIETY. The Farmers’ Co-op. Society of New Zealand, Limited, report:— We report a good yarding at our Hawera yards on Thursday, the 30th irist., and a good clearance at prices satisfactory to Bulls were a little easier, but 'maiden bulls found ready buyers. We quote fat cows, £6 10s to. £7 2s 6d • others, £5 10s to £6 ss; forward coirs, £4 to £5 os; store bullocks, £5 2s; best works cows, £3 10s te £3 15s; others, £1 10s to £3 os; best works cows, £3 10s to £3 15s; others, £2 to £3-6s; pedigree yearling Hcisteiu heifers, £9. 9s. In the dairy pens, owing to the lateness of the season. we had a slack sale. Best heifers £7 10s; others £4 10s to £6; second calvers, £6 10s to £7 15s. Pigs: Porkers, £1 18s to £2 7s Gd; best iveaners, £1 4s to £1 Bsj smaller 20s to 21s. At Eltham on Wednesday last xve held our usual fortnightly sale, and ireport a large entry. Quotations: Wearier pigs 15s fo 21s 6d; fat heifers, £6 7s 6d; fat and fqrAyard cows, £3 10s, £3 17s, £4 7s to £5; M.T. heifers to £4; store and boners at late rates. Bulls: Grade £8 to £l2, yearling' bulls £5, bullocks £7 7s, dairy heifers £6 to £6 10s; dairy coavs, £8 to £lO. On Tuesday we held a most successful clearing oil account of Mr J. K. Richards at Ohangai. There xvas a large attendance of buyers, and the sale Avent xvitli a good sxving throughout, competition being particularly been on good quality dairy coavs. Considering the lateness of the season, prices were above expectation, the herd averaging iust on £lO. The horses also met Avith a ready sale, a big gelding fetchinp; £37, ditto aged £32;‘ m.s. hoggets, 295. Implements and sundries full market rates. -
