MACHINERY CLAUSES. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATIONHASTINGS, Oct/31. The conference of the Nexy Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union concluded last evening. Remits were- for the most part machinery clauses affecting the rules, , which were either adopted or put through in amended form. Officers . for' the ensuing year were elected as follow —President, Mr J. A. Hansen (Manaia); vice - presidents, Messi's A. Curry (Blenheim), D. P. McKay (Dunedin), A. A. George (Hastings) ; lion, solicitor, Mr J. Lang (Dunedin); secretary, Mr J. Kennedy (Geraldine); auditor, Mr J. Stexvart (Geraldine); executive, Messrs C. Church (Gisborne), Collingwood (Wanganui). B. Meek (Oamaru), IV. J. Walter (Christchurch), A. Scobie (Balfour), and G. E. Perkins (Greymouth). it was decided that no permits be granted for Good Friday. Championships were allotted to the South Canterbury centre. It was decided to hold the next conference at the Dunedin Exhibition.
