MAGNIFICENT PRODUCTION. 'THE COMING “FLORODORA. ,? Whatever claims the study of phrenology may have from a scientific point of view, the exposition of i{s mysterious influence upon the lives of men and women as set forth by the .jovial Professor Tweedlepunch in the fortheoming production of that joyous musical comedy “Florodora” will be a source of absorbing interest and amusement to all who see the Stratford amateurs perform this comedy. The course of true love is not the only thing that is crooked in the story of Florodora. The island i s named after a wonderful perfume, the recipe for which is a profound secret- known only % to the millionaire. Who the real owner of this valuable recipe really is. and how justice and happiness are Anally dispensed will be shown to all who attend the series of performances, which open with lavish display at the Opera House, Hawera, to-night (Thursday). The scenic effects will eclipse all previous efforts, and to enter the hall on the first night will be to step into a wonderful world of gaiety and make believe, where a riot of colour and of incessant movement will form the setting for gorgeous costumes and clever acting. One of the features of the performance will be the special lighting, which in itself should materially add to the effectiveness of the massed scenes. Brightness is synonymous with the fine cast of. characters who are taking part. and it •is safe t? say that the most captious critic will 'find nothing to grumble at in this second production of the Stratford Musical Society.
