MAORI WAR VETERAN.
+ —. DIES AT NAPIER, Cbx telegraph—press association. NAPIER, Oct. 30. Mr James Beckett Fielder, 85 years of age, who saw service in Waikato wars at different times, is dead. He was secretary of the Napier Gas Co., deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court, deputy-registrar of the Deeds Department, and .Commissioner of Stamps. He was a prominent member of the Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows, and for over 50 years was secretary to the trustees of the Waianu diocese.
