William Whitelaw Miller, President of the Southland Bakers’ Association, said that as a member of the association in 1922 he knew nothing of a movement by the New Zealand Bakers’ Association to encourage the formation of Distributors, Ltd. Before the advent of Distributors, Ltd., the usual practise was for millers to deliver floor at the bakehouse.
[The case, the opening of which was fully reported in yesterday’s Star, concerns an action iu which the Crown claims £IOO against Distributors. Ltd. who are alleged to have controlled the sale of flour, contrary to the public interest.!
