PEKING ISOLATED.

NO CAUSE FOR. ALARM. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT. Received Oet. 24, 1.20 p.m. SHANGHAI, Oct. 23. An American naval wireless message received from Peking this morning confirms the statement that the city is completely isolated as far as telegraph and railway facilities are concerned. The cause has not been ascertained. The message adds that the city, which is under the control of the Christian General Feng Yuh Siang, is peaceful and that there is no cause for alarm. It is regarded ;as significant that Feng Yuh. Siang should have returned to Peking from the front. He possesses two of the best fighting divisions in China, and there had been rumours of strained relations between him and AVu Pei ,Pu.—Reuter.
