Masters, and said that there was not a committee in that part of the district that would care to be under the jurisdiction of any other board, a position due to the tactful way in wlnc-h Air. Masters had handled l-he affairs of the board at the time of the adjustment of boundaries He had inspired board members, committees and teachers with confidence in himself, and his resignation from the board, would be a distinct loss to this district and the Dominion as a whole. Alessrs. R. Deare, H. J. Eaves and H. Dempsey also spoke in similar terms. Air. Masters thanked the members for their complimentary references to his work, and said that if it had been at all possible he would not have taken this step. He would, however, use Ins best endeavours, both privately ana publicly, to still help forward the cause of education. jf anything he had done had left the cause better than when he joined the hoard, then his jab had been well worth while.
