Mr. Corrigan, member' for Patearirifornied the Minister .of ' Agriculture to-day that there is a shortage inf superphosphate in Taranaki as the Auckland manufacturers are not in a position to keep up with orders This said Mr. Corrigan, was particularly unfortunate for farmers, who were urgently in need of manure at thi<s time of the year. He asked if the Minister could remove the dumping duty so that Australian supplies could be obtained to relieve the position. Hon. Nosworthy replied that he was aware that manufacturers had been hard pressed to' keep up with the demand, and. he understood that- dumping duties were not in force, but he would make inquiries, though he was not over sanguine regarding the position as the demand was so heavy at the moment. '
