COMBINED CONTROL. (By Telegraph.—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The amended Education Bill, with provision regarding the amalgamation of control of technical and secondary schools in small towns, provides that step may be taken only with the approval of the controlling authorities of the schools affected, and proposes a change in the constitution of the combined governing authority to not leAs than three members appointed by the Governor-General, three elected by parents, at least one each representing employers’ and employees’ organisations, and two appointed by the Education Board of the district.
