SPECTACULAR RISES.
———♦ —-—• COTTON, CORN, AND WHEAT. NEW YORK, Sept. 26. Cotton quotations jumped 100 points to-day, representing an advance of 17 dol. a bale since the beginning of the week. Excessive rain and cold weather also caused a. spectacular rise in corn quotations on the Chicago market of six cents, when dealings stopped. There was heavy dealing in wheat at Winnipeg, at the. highest prices for several weeks.
