SPORTING CHANCES.

PERILS OF WORLD FLIGHTS. TRIBUTE TO AIRMEN. LONDON, Sept. 30. Paying a tribute, to the American aviators, who have completed their flight round the world, the Times, in a leading article, gives the opinion that in view of the peculiar conditions encountered on the flight round the world, it may be some time before the same feats are performed, again. “ Whether the east-bound route taken by the Americans is easier than the west-bound route over which SquadronLeader McLaren failed,” says the Times, “it is impossible to decide. The success of such a project, whichever route is is subject to sporting chances, which sportsmen must take as they find them.”
