Barrett (the chairman) said they had to have big players to make the tour pay. Mr .1. F. Peake said he thought they should have, a lean year as regard' an overseas touring team this year. Mr Barrett said that in his'opinion they should have an overseas visit every year. Mr Pealce said lie would favour concentrating upon their own Plunket Shield matches and reinstating the North v. South Island match. Next year they could undertake an Aus tralian tour by a New Zealand team. Mr D. Reese said they could not undertake an overseas visit, every year. Mr W. H.
