CROQUET.

PARK CLUB. Favoured with delightful weather the Park Croquei Club held its opening day on Wednesday. The lawns were formally opened by his Worship the Mayor (Mr. L. A Bone), who in a neat little speech expressed the hope that the club would have a very successful season. After Mrs. Bone played the first ball through the hoop, golf croquet was indulged in by all present. Mrs. T. Tait, who won the competition, was presented with a trophy by Mrs. Bone. The ladies of the club provided afternoon tea at. the kiosk, and a most, enjoyable afternoon was spent by all present.
