WANGANUI v. TARANAKI. MATCH CANCELLED. Advice has been received from the Wanganui Club that several of their best players will not be available to play Taranaki on Labour Day, and it has been decided to cancel the match this year. l'he news that this popular fixture lias been cancelled will be received with much regret, for it has always been looked forward to with much interest. It also gives the opportunity to bring together the best players, and this year would have been of special interest because of the meeting of L. Quin, the amateur champion, and J.
