BODY WASHED UP.

PATEA BRICKMAKER’S DEATH. The body of Ernest William Norris, a brickmaker, of Patea, was found washed up at the Patea heads yesterday morning. . It appears that at about 8 o’clock yesterday morning two young' boys, who were camping at the Patea heads, were walking along the beach when they found the body of deceased. They at once informed the police, and the body was removed to the morgue. Deceased, who was a brickmaker by trade, had been missing from his lodgings at Patea for about ten days, and from the appearance of the body it had been in the water for about that length of time. When discovered, the body was fully clothed, and the sum of 2s 6d was found in one of the pockets. An inquest will be held.
