THE ALL BLACKS
ANOTHER GREAT WIN. MIDLANDS DEFEATED 40—3. SIGNIFICANT VICTORY. The All Blacks defeated the pick of the North Midlands by 40 to 3, and the result cannot but indicate that the All Blacks are well maintaining the standard of their predecessors of 1905. In fact, in this particular contest the points scored by the present team were 20 more thaiv in 1905, when the score was 21—5. Yesterday’s glorious victory will be heralded with intense satisfaction by New Zealanders the world over, and the results to date will he welcomed by the selectors as fully justifying their actions. In view of the criticisms levelled at the selectors some time ago, the continued great victories of the All Blacks will be hailed by the former with additional satisfaction. They are fully hearing out the confident feeling expressed on Tuesday that the North Midlands team would have to he pretty strong to he near them. It looks as if the English team was not so good as was expected, or that, the All Blacks played better than ever. OFFICIAL RESULT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.
