QUEENSLAND LOAN.
LIST CLOSED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 9, 10.25 a.m.) . LONDON, Oct. 8. Lists for the Qeensland loan mentioned on October 2 closed at 10.45 this morning. Definite reasons for the early closing of the subscription were not obtainable on enquiry at the Stock Exchange. Some of the members are of the opinion that it is fully subscribed, owing to its attractiveness, while others think the banks are finding indifferent support owing to the political situation, and in view of further borrowing by Queensland in the near future decided to close the lists.
