Chang Tso Lin’s headquarters report that part of the third brigade under General Chang Tsung Chang cut off the retreat, of the Chihli troops at Chapeng, south-west of Lingynan, and captured one mixed brigade fully equipped. Reports from the same source also state that the thirteenth and ninth division of the Chihli army were scattered and pursued by Fengtein troops, Avho captured numerous guns, rifles, horses and military stores.
