Queensland’s railways showed a deficit last financial year of £1,593,066, according to the; Commissioner’s report, tabled in the Assembly, compared with .a- deficit of. £1,475,192 the previous year. Six lines showed profit, twentyseven paid partial expenses, and fiftyeight were a dead loss. The annual report of the Auditor-General shows a surplus for the year of £12,707, and the accumulated deficits ■ total £BIO,OIO.
