WELLINGTON, Sept. 12. The sequel to the recent fatality on the Hutt Road, Avhen Henry Gerard received injuries from which he died as a result of being knocked doAvn by a motor-car, Avas heard at the Police Court to-day Avhen Frederick Marris, the driver of the car, pleaded guilty to failing to stop after the accident and to exceeding the regulation speed. The chief detective described as callous accused’s action in driving aAvay Avhen he knew that serious harm must have been done. For failing to stop Marris was fined £lO, and for exceeding the speed limit £5.
