SYDNEY, Seot. 3: The River Murray rose suddenly at Tocumwal and breke through the hank protecting the show ground, which is covered, a hastily thrown up hank preventing the water reaching the houses in the vicinity. Men are patrolling the banks day and night in the hope of preventing further breaks. TWO ARRESTED. BRISBANE, Sept. 3. The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting of Detective McLean. [A cable message, from Brisbane on August 28 stated: Two burglars were surprised when brea'king a-safe at the Cocirparoo railway station by Sergeant. Hegarty and Detective McLean. When called on to surrender one burglar fired a revolver, dangerously wounding McLean iii the abdomen. Both burglars escaped.]
