STATE INSURANCE.
LARGE FIELD OPEN. (By Telegraph.—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. During the discussion on the Estimates to-night' Mr. J. R. Corrigan suggested to the Government that there was a large field for State insurance in New Zealand products when sent- overseas. He could not see why the State should not get the profits out of marine as well as fire risks, and its operations would keep the rates down.
