PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING. , r H>e monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket rooms on Friday last. There were present: Mesdames Goodson (chair), Hunter, Searle, Haggett, Burdekin, Godfrey, and Misses Corrigan and King (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Campbell, Davcy, Jobson, and Tait. A copy o| the remits was received for consideration at the general conference ol the Society, to he held in Wellington, commencing on Tuesday, September 2. It was decided that Misses Corrigan and King should attend the conierence. Miss King to he the delegate. The nurse’s report was read, showing new cases, mothers and babies. 43, visits to office 768, nurse’s visits to homes 302. The following subscriptions were received during the month: Mesdames Hooper, Gane, Burdekin, Healey, A. Hunter, Goring, Goodwin, and Miss Buchanan os each, donation of 2s, hire of hoop-la ,-fil 17s Od. Accounts to the amount of LAO Us 8d were passed for payment.
