THEFT BY CLERK.
A PLEA OF GUILTY. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. Irregularities discovered during an audit resulted in Geoffrey Gould Wholly, aged 32, a clerk salesman for Walker and Hall, appearing in the Magistrate’s Court charged with the theft of £682 17s Id. For the employers the manager said accused had been employed since February, 1923, and was responsible for the cash book and customers’ ledger.
