Mrs. Porter, secretary of the Wellington branch of the Women’s National Reserve, in a letter to Mrs. L. A. Taylor, expresses hearty appreciation of Hawera’s contribution of goods for sale on Violet Day in Wellington, and compliments the local bra noli of the Reserve. Mrs. Porter states that although the returns are not yet complete over £3OO was raised by the effort.
