HEAVY RAIN.
SAILING OF TAHITI DELAYED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. Heavy rain yesterday stopped work on the ships at the wharves, and consequently the ’Frisco mail steamer Tahiti’s departure in continuance of her voyage to Sydney has been postponed till 3 p.m. to-day. The rain eased off this morning,- but the sky is still heavily overcast, with a prospect of a further downfall. The outlook for the League test match is therefore dubious.
