(From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of the Tennis Club was held on the 23rd inst. Mr'R. Hooker presided over a good attendance. The usual routine business being disposed of, a proposal re the holding of a fancy fair was advocated by Mr Adams (schoolmaster) with the dual purpose of raising funds to assist the club and orovide a piano for -the school. The object being in the interests of the school, there was little doubt of the success of the scheme. The proposal was favourably received by the committee, and it was decided to call a. public meeting for to-morrow (Wednesday) to give residents opportunity to discuss the matter.'
