The death of Ferrieio B. Busoni, the composer, aged 58, is reported in a Berlin cable. The death of Mr: John Bradburv, a prominent resident of Murchison aged 71, is announced in a telegram' from Nelson. Mr. L. De Launay, representing the -North Taranaki, Stratford and South Taranaki < South African War Veterans’ conference. Mr. E. B. H. Nicholls, who has been a member of the staff of the Hawera Public Trust Office* for tlie past seypn and a half years has received notice of Ins transfer to the Christchurch office. Mr. Aieholls has proved himself a capable and popular officer, and his; transfer will be a distinct loss to’the Swimming Club, for which body he has been acting as secretary. ‘ irn Mi ® s E H.
