HAWERA HOSPITAL BOARD.
NDHSEB- ACCOMMODATION. A special meeting of the Hawera Hospital Board was held yesterday to consider the question of more accommodation for the nursing staff. For some time past the nurses quarters have been overcrowded to such an extent that in two cases three nurses have been sleeping in one room. ■ln view of the fact that the hospital staff is to be increased by two nurses and another sister, extra accommodation was essential and the board was compelled to do something. There were several proposals, and it was finally decided to purchase -a dwelling owned by Mr. Ilicluirds and situated opposite the hospital gates.
