CANCER.

DR, GLOVER’S CLAIM. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received July 14, 8.5 a.m NEW YORK, July 12. A telegram from Philadelphia says that the County Medical Society has announced that Dr. Glover failed to establish the alleged isolation of the cancer germ and liis professed development on an antitoxin wherewith to treat the disease. The announcement, summarising Dr. Glover’s claims, continues : Dr Glover presented no proof of a scientific character, and flatly refused, upon request, to make an exposition of the facts to substantiate his claim or demonstrate that the serum had cured a single case of the disease. The committee therefore is of the opinion that it is their duty to combat the information already published, in order to cheek popular misinformation and prevent a false hope being t given to thousands of sufferers from this dreadful scourge.—Aus.-N.Z.
