— LONDON WOOL SALES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Julv 12 noon. LONDON. July 11. The wool sales closed firm. There wa s a large attendance and good competition. The first week’s weakness entirely disappeared and prices hardened steadily as the sales progressed, and closed firm at full May rates. Crossbreds, fine and low, made good recovery, and are now rtiling about the May level. Medium partially recovered and are now five per cent, below May prices. Slipes lowered slightly and are still twopence below May rates. Lambs’ wool is scorce and firm.' New Zealand sales include: W.F.M. 34d.—Aus.-N.Z Cable Assn.
LEAD TRADE. Received July 32, 11.40 a m . LONDON, July 11. _Lead imports during June totalled 15,582 tons, including 7124 Australian. The exports amounted to 2448 tons. FRUIT MARKET. LONDON. July 11. The Otaki’s New Zealand apples are in good condition. Stunners 17s to 21s, Rokewood 15s fid to 20s, Cleopatras 17s to 20s, Newtown 18s to 20s, Statesmen 16s 6d to-' 20s.
