THREE PRISONERS CONTROL SALE OF GAOL PRODUCTS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT V Received July 12, 9.5 a.m. LONDON, July 11. The Daily Express Geneva* correspondent relates an astounding story of how. three prisoners, two of whom were formerly federal public servants; gained control of the Thorberg gaol. Iliey bribej the warders, took charge of the sale of the gaol products, and spent the proceeds in champagne, food, and jewellery. They even had duplicate keys of the gates and went out on tours in motor cars. The trio engaged their fellow convicts as servants. Evi_ clence wa,s given that they had begun negotiations to sell the gaol as a- desirable family residence. The court heavily incieased their sentences.
