WEDDING.

DONALD—STEFFERT. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Joseph’s Church, IVtflnaia, oa June 12, the Rev. Father O’Dwyer officiating. The contracting parties were Miss Elsie May Steffert, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs Steffert, inaha, to Robert Henjry, only son oi Mr and Mrs R, Donald, Manaia. The oride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, looked charming in an ivory brocaded morocain trimmed with silver radium lace and pearl beaded trimming. Her tulle veil, iormmg a graceful train, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and silver leaves, and she carried a sheaf of arum lulies, white roses and maiden-hair fern, with satin streamers. Miss Ivy Steffert, sister of the bride, was maid oi' honour, wearing an African sunset shade of imperil bengaline, with hat to match, and carried a. bouquet of pale pink roses and autumn leaves and gold streamers. The train-bearers were little Betty Donald and Jean Laurenson, the. former wearing pale heliotrope pallette satin, the latter pale pink pallette and lace tulle bows on their hair to match, and carrying silver wands. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Rey Hodge, cousin of the bridegroom. Mrs Hilles presided at the organ. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a handsome silver fox fur, and to the maid of honour and train-bearers a gold armlet and manicure sets respectively. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Savoy Tea Rooms, Haweira, when about 100 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. The usual toasts u r ere honoured. The bride and bridegroom left for the South, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride’s going-awav dress was* a kingfisher blue costume, beautifully braided, with hat and shoes to match.
