In connection with the Government’s campaign for the reduction of maternal mortality, the Public Health Department has been fortunate in securing the services of Dr. Henry Jellett, one of the most eminent living authorities on midwifery. Although Dr. Jellett’s en g a gement with the Department will be. part time only, his advice will be available to the health service at all times. Dr. Jellett was for seven years master of the famous Rotunda Hospital. Dublin. He was also formerly professor of midwifery at Dublin University. Ij; is considered.that the Department of Health has been singularly fortunate in securing the services of so eminent flu authority. His text-books on midwifery are regarded as standard works
