THE POLITICAL ASPECT. (BY —CRESS ASSOCIATION ) PALMERSTON N., July. 2.‘ At the Dominion conference of the Dairy Parmers’ Union Air P. J. Small (Kairanga) .was elected president. ith one dissentient, the following remit was approved: “That this conference is not in favour of a farmers’ political party, but that it be a recommendation that a farmers’ committee be set up in the House to watch farmers’ interests.” . The dissentient, Mr J. L. Fox (FeildIng), declared that the advent of a producers’ party was inevitable. Air J. H. Taylor (Wellington): “We don’t- want the union professing to be non-political and then creeping out to become a political association.”
