LOAN FOR CANADA. BY CABLE—rRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT ■ OTTAWA, July 1. A resolution authorising the Government to borrow 300,000,000 dollars to meet maturing obligations was passed by the House of Commons. The acting-Minister for Finance (Mr. Robb) said it was expected to float a loan at less than 5 per cent. The suggestion was made that the Dominion should issue bonds to its own Treasury, and issue the necessary credits thereon.
