CRICKET. ENGLISH COUNTY MATCHES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, June 26. Marylebone made 328 (Titchmarsh 77, Moffatt 92). Raikes took five wickets for 112. Oxford made 48 for two wickets. Surrey made 158 (Sandham 96 not out). Cambridge made 177 for four wickets. Hampshire made 106. Haig took three wickets for 14 runs. Middlesex made 168 for two wickets (Stevens 78 not out). The position at the end of the second day’s play in the county matches is as follows: Oxford scored 307 (Blaikie 120, Richardson 59). Hyndson took five wickets for 75 runs. Marylebone have lost nine wickets for-190. Cambridge made 281 (Lowry 68). Fender captured six wickets for 91 runs. Surrey were all out for 156, and in a second strike Cambridge have made 34 runs without loss. Sussex made 244 (Cook 67), Lancashire having lost two wickets for 132. E. Tyldesley made 70, thus completing his 1000 runs for the season. Hallows made 54 not out. Middlesex made 291 (Stevens 78, 230 (Newman 86).' In a second strike Hendren 74). Hampshire replied with Middlesex has made 46 for the loss of ope wicket.
In the Kent match Seymour made 117, and for Worcester against Nottingham Hopkins made 137.
RUGBY. ALL BLACKS. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.'. WELLINGTON, June 27. The dates for the All Black matches in Sydney are July 5,9, 12 and 16. Lists have repeatedly been published g-vjiig July 19 for the last match, but the •Gainer by which the team returns leaves early on that day, and the date as arranged in Sydney is July 16. A FINE SATURDAY. For the first time since the season began footballers have the piospect- of a fine day overhead, but will still have to contend against grounds sodden with rain and frost. The rainfall this winter has not been teavv, but has mostly fallen each week-end.
