FIRE AT WAITOTARA.

HOTEL DESTROYED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, June 27. The Waitotara Hotel, a building of sixteen rooms, ivas completely destroyed by lire at 10 o’clock last evening. There was no fire-fighting apparatus in the township, and, the flames, fanned by the strong northerly wind, reduced the place to ashes within half an hour. Had the wind been in the opposite direction the township would have suffered severely. The building was owned by Messrs T. and W. Young, Wellington, and was insured lor £750 in an office unknown. The stock and furniture were insured for £SOO in the Near Zealand Company,
