NEW HEBRIDES.

UNSATISFACTORY CONTROL. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received June 25, 9 «a.m. N LONDON, June 24. A question by Dr. Chappell in the Commons yesterday regarding the New Hebrides was prompted by the reports from Australia of the Presbyterian mission’s allegations of unsatisfactory conditions in the islands. Dr. Chappell stated to-day that he, so far, had received no satisfaction, but will continue to ask questions. If the authorities remain indifferent to the necessity for rectifying the conditions out there he will keep up an agitation until they take action. It is a trifling matter for France, .said Dr. Chappell, but vitally important for the natives. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
