THE CLAN MACMILLAN. CREW SAFE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received June 25, 12.5 p.m. DELHI, June 24. The Clan Macmillan grounded on the shoals off Preparis Island on Friday night. The sea was rough, and the night pitch black. The crew took to the boats, standing by till the vessel sank at nine the following morning. The captain remained on the bridge till the last, the chief officer literallv using force to drag him away. The captain’s boat drifted eastward and the other two northward in high seas and a strong wind. The two latter were picked up on Sunday night and the captain’s boat later. All were well, but suffered considerably from exposure.— Reuter.
