The maximum salaries ot superintendents range from £6IJ at Perth to £876 at Sydney; assistant superintendents from £4BO to £635 • supervisors. _ from £384 to £6OO. ’The classification provides for an annual review of. the scales of salaries. The hoard decided that the Commonwealth stntisticnan’s figures regarding the cost of liviiio- he taken into consideration on April ] each year, and where the index number exceeds a given limit, or is below a stated figure the salaries he increased or decreased accordingly.
