NO BUILDING.
— LOCK-OUT DECLARED. 700.000 MEN INVOLVED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. - . LONDON, June 20. The building lock-out will involve nearly 700,000 men, and 'will probably mean the stoppage of the bulk of the building throughout the country. The decision is all the more startling because a national agreement embodying a settlement' was formally signed on June 16. The employers, in declining to- endorse the settlement and breaking off negotiations, point out that continuous disputes and revolts have been occurring throughout the country. The operatives declare t&e- employers have repudiated their own negotiating committee, and bint that if the settlement terms are not- observed they mav strike without waiting for a lock-out.
