The race was won by a short head, with two lengths between second and third horses.—Reuter. NAPIER PARK MEETING. GREENMEADOWS, June 20. The Napier Park winter meeting commenced to-day in wet weather, the corn se being very heavy. There were good fields and the attendance was fair. Results:— Moteo Hurles.—Merry Bells (A. McDonald) 1, Landbird 2, Crown Coin 3. Scratched: Jovial. Won hv a nose. Time, 3.31 4-5. ‘ • _ Stewards’ Handicap.—Comical 1, Koodoo 2, Barrier 3. Scratched: Polonett. Won by two lengths. No time given. Petane Steeples.—Mnhurn 1, Tarakete 2, Guanaco 3. Scratched : Passin’ Through. Buckeye, Cambric, Merryown, Silk Rein. Won easilv. Time. 4.48 3-5.
