SALVAGE CLAIM. ■T OABtiI—PBIBS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIUBI SYDNEY, June 16. The hearing has commenced of a claim against the owners of the Honolulu Maru, which, was severely buffeted in a. storm last A;pril and was towed to port. It was stated in evidence that value of the Japanese steamer was £87,000, and the owners of the tug Champion claim 10 per cent, of this value. The question for the court to decide was the amount of the salvage to be paid, as the salvage of the vessel was not disputed.
