Paul Pry has changed hands at £SOO, and Sortie, by Catesby, was sold for £IBO at Melbourne recently. W ait-a-Bits's poor display in the Melbourne Cup is said to bo accounted for in that an abscess burst in k» head on the Friday after the race. - Both Cttsur de Lion and T>oh.int won a race each at Wellington On the first day the above pair failed to get a place. The champion (?) Gold Medallist was again defeated in the Musselburgh Plate at Dunedin yesterday by Blazer. All sorts of excuses were made for Mr Stead's horse when he was defeated at lliccarton by Daunt and Blazer. What excuse will be given now '?
