Accidents and Fatalities.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. T. Poutewera, who has been in the Native Land Court Office here for eleven years past and well known in athletic circles, died last night of cancer. He was chief of the Ngapuhi tribe, Bay of Islands. Mrs Pattinson, of Stratford, was found drowned last Saturday in a drain 011 the side of the road. There was only 18in. of water at the place where the body was picked up. It is supposed deceased had a fit.
