The Trades' Union Congress adopted resolutions in favor of the abolition of all overtime ; demanding that workmen who sit on juries be paid ; an amendment of the poor law removing disabilities following upon the acceptance of temporary relief ; a reduction of the hours of labor of domestic servants under 18 years of age to 70 hours per week; and the prohibition of child labor under 15, and night work under 18 years of ago. Resolutions were passed demanding the nationalisation of the land, mines, minerals, royalties, rents, railways, and waterways, and the municipalisation of water and lighting rights and tramways ; also the payment of failwages in Government dockyards. Sept. 10.

A resolution was carried at the Trades Union Congress at Birmingham demanding an amendment of the Conspiracy Act in the direction of placing workmen and employers in a similar position, and punishing employees issuing black lists.
