The Government are making great preparations for the entertainment of the Federal delegates. Unless the Miowera makes up a couple of days the Right Hons. G. Reid and C. C. Kingston, who are aboard, will not be here in time for the opening. The Right Hons. Sir J. Forrest and Sir E. N. Braddon arrived at Albany yesterday. The latter is in indifferent health. He comes on direct to Sydney for the Convention. Melbourne, August 18. Sir George and Lady Turner on arrival met with an enthusiastic reception from the members of the Ministry and leading citizens. A very large crowd afterwards attended a reception at the Town Hall. Brisbane, August 18. The estimates include a sum of £IO,OOO in aid of co-operative agricultural production. This is the outcome of numerous applications on behalf of dairy, flour, and cotton co-operative companies. The Government propose to advance loaus, recouping by a levy on the companies' outputs.
