(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. Bishop Wallis leaves England by the P. and O. steamer Australia, which is due in Melbourne on November Bth. The Taita school and teacher's house on the Hutt road, 14 miles from town, were burnt about midnight. Nothing was insured. The origin of the fire was a defective chimney. The teacher, Mr Williamson, saved a portion of the furniture. Auckland, This day. Sailed, at 1 p.m.—Westralia, for South. Passengers : Messrs Murray, Braseh, Brown, Bushey, Bunby, Ward, Oatway, Schatz, Kemple, Ulph, and 5 steerage.
