New Plymouth, This Day. The Western Maori election petition in which Ropata te Ao petitions against the Return of Henare Kahaiu, opened this morning, before the Chief Justice and -Judge Connolly. Mr Bauin, of Auckland, appears for Krhaiu and Sir Robert Stout for the petition. It is likely to last for sprfio day;.
